Kalkan weather

Kalkan is on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and experiences much of the great weather this latitude has to offer.

Summer months can be both long and hot while the warm waters of the nearby sea offer a respite from the summer heat. The sea can be pleasantly warm to swim in most of the year. Although most of Turkey's coast offers near year round beach getaways, Kalkan is far from over developed and still offers a quiet and relaxing retreat in the sun that is still close to the sea.

Spring

March to April in Kalkan is generally both bright and sunny with ever decreasing amounts of rain. Although it is far from the heat of the summer months average high temperatures range from a pleasant 16c early in the season to a comfortably warm 19c in April. You can also expect the sun to be up for between seven and nine hours during this period.

Summer

Kalkan's summer season ranges from May to October where the average high temperatures are in the mid 20s ranging from 24c in May to 35c+ in the heat of July and August.

Autumn

Kalkan's autumn season is very pleasant and in September and October temperatures can vary from the low 30s through to early 20s depending on the time of year.

Winter

Kalkan's winter season is quiet and temperatures are usually between 15 and 18 degrees.
