Langton Cottage is nestled in the heart of the old town of Kalkan off a little cobbled side street away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but moments away from the many restaurants and the local pebble beach. It is set next door and across the courtyard from 4 other old town properties, all beautifully restored and owned by friendly and helpful neighbours.
Kalkan is located in the far western corner of Turkey on the Mediterranean Coast. It's closest neighbour is Greece.
It takes 4 minutes to walk to the local beach, 2 minutes to walk to the main street that runs through Kalkan and hosts many of the fantastic restaurants on offer. It is 15 minutes away from the famous Patara Beach by taxi or 5 minutes down to Kalkan harbour where you can catch a free boat to one of the seven different beach clubs on offer.
The location is second to none and means that you can manage without a car if you choose to and walk, take a bus or local taxi to any of the nearby attractions you wish to visit. Perfect really.
Kalkan has been voted Trip Advisor's Traveller's Choice Award as well as one of the best tourist destinations in the world by The Independent newspaper.
The paper listed Kalkan among the best tourist destinations for 2007. It recommended Kalkan especially for those seeking a romantic vacation and who do not want to travel far from their home country in Europe.
